授業概要	The aim of this course is to develop students’ ability to discuss their opinions about controversial daily issues in pairs, small groups, and as a whole class. (授業形態) This course will continue to focus on conversation strategies that will promote your ability to discuss ideas, develop presentation skills, and debate about a variety of topics. You will conduct reading, listening, and vocabulary activities inside and outside of class and use the content for discussions in class. All four skills will be practiced in order to increase your confidence in communicating effectively in English.
到達目標(ねらい)	Students will be able to discuss controversial daily issues in English. 履修上の留意点等	単位修得には到達度を測る課題の提出やテストの受験等が不可欠ですので、担当 教員の指示にきちんと従ってください。また、授業の性質上、毎回の授業への出 席が前提となるため、原則として授業時間数の 3 分の 2 以上に出席していなけれ ば、単位は修得できません。 In order to earn credit, students need to follow the teacher’s instructions properly. That is: participate in class activities, submit assignments, and take examinations. Students should attend every class, and to receive credit for this course, you must attend at least two-thirds of the classes. 履修者は、CASEC450 点以上の英語力があることが望ま しいです。
成績評価の方法	試験 レポート 30 % 小テスト 30 % 平常点 20 % 到達度を測る会話のテストや口頭発表など 20 % 到達度を測る聞き取 この授業はコミュニケーションを注目する授業なのでコミュニケーションを練習しないと平常点は上がりません。
